Let’s Speak Math again: Embark UnMath’s Global Math Debate Program Connects 1,500+ Students Across Nepal Season 2

Kathmandu, Nepal- A leading educational initiative, Embark UnMath continues to redefine how mathematics is taught and learned by transforming complex mathematical concepts into creative, real-world learning experiences.

Through its newest and most dynamic program, the Global Math Debate League (GMDL), Embark UnMath proudly introduces Nepal’s first educational platform that combines mathematical thinking with the structure and excitement of competitive debate in our pursuit to spread the language of mathematics across the globe.

Reimagining Math Education

The Global Math Debate League turns mathematics into a language of ideas, logic, and communication. The program challenges students to use math not only as a tool for problem-solving but as a means to express, persuade, and innovate.

Speaking about this pioneering initiative, Divesh Bathija, Co-Founder of Embark UnMath, said:

“The Global Math Debate League shows our vision of math as more than just numbers and equations. This league creates a special national platform where students can prove that math is an exciting field of logical thinking and problem-solving that goes far beyond the traditional classroom.”

A National Platform for Math and Mind

This year, the Global Math Debate League connects 5,000+ students from schools across Nepal in a structured, multi-stage competition that highlights the power of mathematical reasoning through debate.

The competition unfolds in three stages — Screening Round, regional qualifiers, and a national round, creating a platform for collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Through the process,

students sharpen their logical reasoning, enhance their public speaking abilities, and develop a deeper understanding of how mathematics applies to real-world issues.

Empowering Future Thinkers

By merging the rigor of math with the art of communication, the Global Math Debate League nurtures the next generation of leaders who can think analytically and communicate effectively. The program not only strengthens students’ academic foundation but also celebrates mathematics as a tool for creativity, innovation, and leadership.
As Nepal’s first program of its kind, GMDL is creating a nationwide community of young thinkers, debaters, and problem-solvers who see math as more than a subject, but as a mindset for life.
