Kathmandu — GoldenGate International College, through its Golden Gate Basketball Club, has announced a basketball tournament for students who have completed the SEE examinations. The event will be held on May 22–23, 2026 (Jestha 8–9, 2083) at the college premises in Battisputali.

According to the organizers, the tournament aims to identify and encourage young sports talent and connect students with a national-level sporting environment. The club, a 13-time national champion, believes the event will provide an excellent platform for young players to showcase their skills.

The winning team will receive NPR 20,000, while the runner-up will get NPR 10,000. Additionally, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) will be awarded a pair of basketball shoes.

All participating students will also get an opportunity to join a 15-day free basketball training camp led by senior coach Manish Nakarmi and national players. The camp will focus on developing students’ sports skills.

SEE graduates participating in the tournament will also have the opportunity to enroll in Grade 11 with special scholarships at the college. Outstanding performers may also get a chance to join the club’s basketball team.
