MAW Vriddhi Unveils Changan Lumin at NADA Auto Show

Kathmandu, August 19, 2025 – MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor of the futuristic electric brands Deepal and Changan in Nepal, has unveiled Changan’s latest electric hatchback, the Lumin, at the NADA Auto Show.
The new Lumin was jointly unveiled by Managing Director Vivek Sikaria, Directors Tulika Agarwal, Harshita Agarwal, and Rupali Sarawgi, along with Chief Executive Officer Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, reflecting the company’s commitment to introducing next-generation electric vehicles in the country.
The Changan Lumin represents a new era of stylish, compact, and smart electric mobility, designed to perfectly suit Nepal’s urban roads. With its modern and attractive design, five vibrant body colors, and advanced features, the Lumin is aimed at young, eco-conscious customers seeking affordability without compromise.
Equipped with a 35 kW motor and a 28.08 kWh battery, the Lumin delivers a driving range of 301 km (NEDC), making it ideal for both daily commutes and weekend journeys. With DC fast charging, the Lumin charges from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes, ensuring both time efficiency and convenience.
Inside, the Lumin features a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with CarPlay, smart keyless entry & start, mobile app remote control, and an electronic knob shifter, bringing a seamless smart driving experience. Despite its compact dimensions, the Lumin offers 104L to 589L luggage space, highly wrapped seats, and a light-luxury cabin design with refined interiors.
For safety, the Lumin is equipped with dual airbags, a high-strength steel body, NBooster braking system, ESP stability control, and a Battery Fortress safety system, ensuring maximum confidence for both driver and passengers.
Speaking at the event, CEO Rupesh Sharma Bhatta stated, “The Changan Lumin is designed as a fun urban companion, perfectly matching modern lifestyles. With its blend of smart features and practicality, it sets a new benchmark for affordable electric mobility in Nepal.”
The Changan Lumin has been launched at an introductory price of NPR 22.99 lakh, offering one of the most competitive propositions in Nepal’s EV hatchback segment.
