Kathmandu, July 6, 2026 – The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has unveiled key details of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, which will take place from August 11 to 16, 2026, at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Announced during a press conference held at The Soaltee Hotel on Monday, the second edition of the expo is expected to be Nepal’s largest automobile and mobility exhibition, bringing together 51 stalls, more than 55 brands and over 40 new launches.

The event will showcase a broad spectrum of mobility solutions, including two-wheelers, four-wheelers, commercial vehicles, electric and hybrid technologies, mobility services and related innovations.
Addressing the event, NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya said the association, which was established a year ago with 21 member companies, has expanded to 36 major members, reflecting growing confidence from the industry and the increasing need for a unified platform for Nepal’s mobility sector.
She said NAIMA’s vision, “Empowering Growth Through Mobility,” and its mission, “Mobility for All,” extend beyond the expo and are closely linked with broader objectives such as improved accessibility, entrepreneurship, employment generation, public service delivery and economic growth.
Vaidya highlighted several initiatives undertaken by NAIMA over the past year, including advocacy for mobility sector reforms, the successful completion of the inaugural mobility expo, capacity-building training for 1,610 traffic police personnel in Kathmandu Valley, emergency assistance for the reconstruction of offices damaged during recent demonstrations, and support to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and the Department of Transport Management.
She also said NAIMA has institutionalized programs such as the NAIMA Mobility Expo and NAIMA Monthly Mobility Sambaad, while launching the NAIMA Mobility Journal and NAIMA Capacity Building Training Sessions.

According to Vaidya, at least 10 percent of ticket revenues generated from the expo will be allocated toward research fellowships and training initiatives. Research papers produced under the fellowship program will be published in the NAIMA Mobility Journal.
NAIMA is also planning to organize a NAIMA Mobility Conclave and develop structured training programs in partnership with the Ministry of Education and other government agencies, focusing on skill development and employment opportunities in the mobility sector.
The association further revealed that it is considering organizing an additional mobility exhibition dedicated to commercial mobility brands in response to growing demand from industry stakeholders. Vaidya also stressed the need for larger and more modern exhibition infrastructure in Nepal, noting that space constraints prevented some interested participants from securing stalls.
NAIMA Board Member Sandeep Sharda described the private sector as a key pillar of the national economy and said exhibitions of this nature contribute significantly to business expansion, investment promotion, employment generation and overall economic dynamism.

Providing details about the upcoming event, Gaurav Sharda, Coordinator of the NAIMA Auto Show Planning Committee, said the 2026 edition aims to build on last year’s premium experience by making the exhibition more organized, inclusive, convenient and visitor-friendly.
Special arrangements have been made to address monsoon-related challenges, and the venue will be designed to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities. Parking facilities will be available at Nepal Police Club, while ride-hailing platform Pathao will offer discounted rides to and from the venue. UnionPay QR users will also be able to receive cashback benefits on ticket purchases.
One of the major attractions of this year’s expo will be a series of free learning sessions at the Auditorium Hall of the Blue Pavilion at Nepal Police Club. The sessions will feature experts, professionals, academicians, industry leaders and influencers discussing topics including mobility, technology, road safety, consumer awareness, skills development, employment and the future of Nepal’s mobility sector.

Representing co-sponsor Global IME Bank, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Suman Pokharel said the bank is pleased to collaborate with NAIMA in what is expected to be Nepal’s largest automobile and mobility exhibition. He noted the strong relationship between mobility, economic activity, entrepreneurship, employment and financial inclusion, adding that visitors will have access to special banking and vehicle financing services during the event.
Meanwhile, Shrey Krishna Shrestha, Head of Marketing at Red Bull Nepal, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with the expo as Beverage Partner under the Powered By category. He praised NAIMA’s efforts in training, awareness campaigns and emergency support initiatives and announced that Red Bull will organize engaging activities throughout the exhibition period.

NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 is supported by Global IME Bank as Co-Sponsor and Red Bull as Powered By Sponsor and Beverage Partner. The event has also secured partnerships with several institutions across banking, insurance, education, technology, health, energy, connectivity and event management sectors.
The press conference was moderated by NAIMA Executive Director Raj Kumar Dulal, who said the association aims to establish the expo as a comprehensive platform for exhibition, learning and knowledge exchange.
NAIMA has invited families, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers, media representatives and the general public to attend the event and become part of Nepal’s largest mobility platform.
