Kathmandu: Kuzu Nepal Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of YADEA in Nepal, has launched three new electric scooter models—GS70, GT70, and GT80—as it looks to strengthen its presence in Nepal’s growing electric vehicle (EV) market. The company said the new lineup is designed to meet the evolving mobility needs of Nepali consumers by combining longer range, smart technology, and advanced safety features.
The GS70, positioned as an urban commuter, is powered by a 2.1 kWh LFP battery and a 2.8 kW peak motor, offering a claimed range of up to 105 kilometers on a single charge.
The GT70 targets riders looking for extended travel capability. It features a 5.7 kWh dual LFP battery system—comprising a fixed and a removable battery—paired with a 3.7 kW peak motor, enabling a claimed range of up to 220 kilometers.
At the premium end of the lineup, the GT80 comes with a 3.6 kWh lithium battery, a 5 kW peak motor, a top speed of 80 km/h, and a claimed riding range of 150 kilometers, catering to customers seeking higher performance and premium riding comfort.
All three models incorporate a suite of smart features, including Bluetooth connectivity, a TFT smart display, mobile navigation mirroring, YADEA Smart App integration, keyless operation, and family sharing for up to five users. Safety has also been enhanced through features such as Traction Control System (TCS), Cruise Control, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, and a dual-disc braking system, the company said.
To boost customer confidence, Kuzu Nepal is offering a three-year or 50,000-kilometer battery warranty on all three models. The scooters are available through 20 authorized YADEA dealerships nationwide, with the company planning to further expand its sales and service network. As a launch promotion, customers purchasing any of the three models before the conclusion of the NAIMA Auto Show will receive an introductory discount of Rs. 10,000.
