Kathmandu, Nepal – 26 November 2025: Yango Nepal, part of the global technology company Yango Group, in partnership with the Nepal Premier League (NPL) team Lumbini Lions, successfully organized a special cricket training session for the children of Yango’s partner drivers in Kathmandu. The initiative reflects Yango’s commitment to supporting the families who form the backbone of its ride-hailing operations in Nepal.

More than 20 children took part in the fun and interactive training session led by Lumbini Lions players including Tilak Bhandari, Durgesh Gupta, and other team members. The young participants learned cricket fundamentals, practiced drills, and enjoyed one-on-one engagements with their cricket heroes.

A representative of Yango in Nepal expressed happiness over the event, stating: “Partner drivers are at the heart of everything we do at Yango. The same goes for their families and loved ones. This training session was our way of giving back to the community that supports us every day. Seeing the children learn, play, and interact with professional athletes was truly inspiring, and we’re committed to continuing initiatives that create meaningful and joyful experiences for our extended Yango family.”

He further added: “I personally wish one day some of these children can also represent Nepal in cricket or any other sport and make our country proud!”

Similarly, Ishwar GC, Chairman of Lumbini Lions added: “We are delighted to collaborate with Yango Nepal on this wonderful initiative. Encouraging young people to engage in sports is a core value for us, and spending time with the children of Yango’s partner drivers was incredibly fulfilling. Their energy and enthusiasm remind us why events like these matter, and we look forward to building even stronger community-focused programs together.”

The training session is part of Yango Nepal’s ongoing effort to build stronger community ties and bring enriching experiences to the families of its partner drivers. As the official Title Sponsor of the Lumbini Lions during NPL Season 2, Yango continues to invest in activities that strengthen its relationship with local communities while promoting youth engagement in sports.
