Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu Hosts Art Exhibition and Artist Talk

Kathmandu – The Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu organized an art exhibition and artist talk titled “Colours of Pakistan through the Brush of a Nepali Artist” on 28 January 2026 at the Embassy premises. The event showcased the works of renowned Nepali artist Ms. Bidhata KC, reflecting her artistic journey and experiences during her visit to Pakistan.
A diverse audience of art enthusiasts, civil society representatives, media professionals, social media influencers, and friends and families of the Embassy attended the event, highlighting the growing interest in cultural exchange and people-to-people connectivity between Pakistan and Nepal.
During the session, Ms. Bidhata KC shared her experiences from the Artist Residency Program for South Asian Countries in Pakistan. She spoke about her travels across the country and the rich cultural, social, and artistic impressions that inspired her work. Through her paintings, she captured Pakistan’s vibrant landscapes, heritage, and cultural diversity. The artist expressed her gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu for the opportunity, and appreciated the hospitality she received during her stay.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, H.E. Mr. Abrar Hashmi, praised Ms. Bidhata KC’s exceptional work and her creative interpretation of Pakistan through a Nepali perspective. He underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening Pakistan-Nepal relations and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to promoting shared history, culture, and mutual understanding between the two nations.
The attendees lauded the Embassy’s efforts in organizing the event, and celebrated the artistic excellence and thoughtful expression evident in Ms. Bidhata KC’s works.
The Embassy also announced that the Pakistan Food Festival will be held in Kathmandu from 5 to 7 February 2026, offering another opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and culinary traditions to the Nepali public.
