MAW Rides Pvt. Ltd. Crowns Regional Champions at Yamaha Sales Skill Contest, Sets Stage for National Showdown

Kathmandu, Nepal – 29th May, 2026 – MAW Rides Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal, has successfully concluded its Regional Sales Skill Contest 2082-83, bringing together the brightest sales and service talent from dealer teams across the country. The contest, organized under the umbrella of Yamaha Training Academy (YTA), served as a powerful platform to sharpen frontline skills, celebrate excellence, and build a stronger sales force for the future.
The regional rounds for sales were held across five key cities, Kathmandu, Itahari, Bardibas, Bharatpur, and Nepalgunj, covering all major trade zones of Nepal from Mechi to Mahakali. Service contests were similarly conducted across Kathmandu, Butwal, Bardibas, Itahari, and Nepalgunj. Participants were tested on a wide range of competencies including product knowledge, competition awareness, auto basics, and practical sales and service skills.
The Sales Skill Contest proudly recognizes the following winners: Chudamani Acharya of B and B Auto Traders Pvt Ltd, Biratchowk (Winner); Samundra Pangeni of Vaw Enterprises P. Ltd., Pokhara (1st Runner Up); Anish Maharjan of D&D Autolink Pvt Ltd, Sitapaila (2nd Runner Up). Similarly, Service contests winners are, Prabin Sanda of Moto Craft, Gongabu (Winner); Niroj Shrestha of Risik Automobiles, Kumaripati (1st Runner Up); and Dipan Sarkar of Kreshav Commercial, Damak (2nd Runner Up). These individuals stood out among their peers and have earned their place at the national stage.
All the winners will get a chance to visit the Yamaha Factory located at Parasi, Bhairahawa. Likewise, the winners of the Service contest will get a chance to participate in the World Skill Contest.
A total of 30 finalists, the top three from each of the five regions from Sales and Service, have earned their spot at the National Sales Skill Contest. This achievement reflects not just individual excellence, but also the commitment of their respective dealerships to continuous learning and professional growth.
In a significant step this year, MAW Rides and YTA had taken an integrated approach by combining both Sales and Service categories into a single Joint National Event. The National Skill Contest 2082-83 was scheduled for 16th Jestha 2083 at Yamaha Training Academy, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, beginning at 9:00 AM. Sales participants faced a rigorous written exam, product demonstration, and a viva round, while service participants were assessed across Beginners, Bronze, Engine, Electrical, and FI System categories.
MAW Rides believes this initiative goes beyond competition, it is an investment in people. By nurturing skilled professionals at the grassroots level, Yamaha’s dealer network grows stronger, and ultimately, so does the customer experience across Nepal.
