Kathmandu, August 16, 2026 — LG has introduced its AI DD 2.0 Washer & Dryer in Nepal, aiming to help households address laundry challenges during the monsoon season, including prolonged rain, high humidity, damp clothes, lingering odours and limited drying space.
The integrated appliance combines washing and drying functions in a single machine and is available in 20/10kg, 15/8kg, 11/7kg and 8/6kg capacity options to meet different household requirements.
The LG AI DD 2.0 Washer & Dryer features a range of technologies designed to enhance fabric care and make laundry more convenient. According to the company, AI DD 2.0 Technology detects fabric type and load weight to optimise fabric care and washing performance.
The appliance also includes Steam Allergy Care and Steam Refresh, which, under tested conditions, can reduce up to 99.9 percent of certain common allergens, while helping reduce odours and refresh clothes.
Other features include LG ThinQ, which allows users to monitor and control the washer remotely through a smartphone, and ezDispense, which automatically dispenses detergent and softener based on the laundry load.
The washer also incorporates 6 Motion Direct Drive and AI Wash technology, which detect the weight and fabric characteristics of each load and optimise the washing cycle. Different drum movements inspired by hand-washing techniques are used to provide effective cleaning while helping care for fabrics.
LG said its TurboWash 360° technology can deliver a powerful wash cycle in as little as 39 minutes under specified test conditions, while aiming to use water and energy efficiently.
With outdoor drying often becoming difficult and time-consuming during Nepal’s monsoon season, the combined washing and drying functions offer households an alternative to laundry routines dependent on sunlight and favourable weather conditions.
The LG AI DD 2.0 Washer & Dryer is available through LG’s authorised retail network across Nepal, including CG Digital, LG BrandShops and authorised LG dealers. The product is also available with 0 percent EMI financing options, according to the company.
CG Electronics, a division of CG Corp Global and the authorised distributor of LG products in Nepal, distributes a range of LG consumer electronics and home appliances in the country through its long-standing partnership with LG Electronics.
