Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, proudly announces the launch of the highly anticipated BYD Dolphin 2025 version, redefining the benchmark for electric hatchbacks in Nepal.

Building upon the success of its predecessor, the upgraded BYD Dolphin 2025 brings a host of advanced features and enhancements — headlined by the introduction of an industry-first Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Low Voltage Battery (LVB), replacing the conventional lead-acid battery. This LFP LVB is six times lighter, offers five times lower self-discharge, and delivers a lifespan of up to 15 years, setting a new global standard in low-voltage energy storage and reliability. The LFP low voltage battery comes with a warranty term of 6 years/ 150,000 km.

The BYD Dolphin 2025 continues to leverage the cutting-edge BYD e-Platform 3.0 and ultra-safe Blade Battery technology, offering a WLTP range of 340 km with fast DC charging capabilities that take the battery to 80% in just 30 minutes.

 

New upgrades introduced in the 2025 version include:

• Suspension tuned for sporty handling, enhancing performance on Nepal’s varied terrains
• Enhanced brightness in LED headlights for improved night-time visibility
• Improved air conditioning system with enhanced cooling and heating efficiency
• New convenience features such as Mobile Phone NFC Key, Bluetooth Key, and a Passenger Door Switch

The 2025 version also arrives in a striking new Atlantis Grey color, expanding the official palette to three premium options:

• Atlantis Grey
• Urban Grey
• Ski White

Despite these technological advancements and feature additions, the BYD Dolphin 2025 is available at a competitive price of NPR 41.15 lakhs, inclusive of a 7kW home charger.

During the launch, Cimex also celebrated a major delivery milestone of 830,000 units globally of which 2,490^th unit was delivered in Nepal— a testament to the growing trust in electric mobility solutions. The BYD Dolphin has become Nepal’s best-selling electric hatchback, and the momentum continues as more customers adopt this compact EV for its performance, comfort, and eco-conscious design.
