Kathmandu, Nepal- Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF)  the dynamic youth wing of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), continues to strengthen the startup ecosystem through proactive engagement and impactful initiatives.

 

Committed to giving back to the community, the NYEF Kathmandu chapter has embarked on a mission to strengthen entrepreneurship by fostering strategic collaborations with key organizations, colleges, and institutions, bringing innovative events to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

 

“Collaborating with esteemed organizations such as Innovation Lab and Parth Student Ventures to mentor and guide aspiring young entrepreneurs, including those from rural areas, is our way of contributing to the community. We’re focused on bridging the existing gaps, nurturing entrepreneurship from an early stage,” shared Ms. Prarthana Saakha, President of NYEF Kathmandu. “We’re encouraging entrepreneurship early on by organizing events at colleges. To support this, we’ve partnered with business colleges like KCM, Apex, ACE, LA, and more to inspire students.”

 

NYEF Kathmandu has organized a series of influential events for students and young startups, including speed mentorship programs on Youth Day tailored specifically for student entrepreneurs. More than 40 entrepreneurs benefitted through this speed mentoring event, interacting with more than 12 seasoned entrepreneurs “It is the responsibility of organizations like NYEF to create a positive business environment for startups and local businesses’ says Mr. Abhimanyu Golchha, first-vice president of NYEF Kathmandu “ Events like speed mentorship are catered to provide startups the right platform to grow and scale up their businesses. Connecting startups with the right people early on is crucial for their scalability, making these events essential.”

In a recent milestone achievement, NYEF Kathmandu hosted a remarkable Business-to-Business (B2B) event that facilitated connections among over 80 visionary startup founders. This event, an integral component of the NYEF Startup Awards, is aimed at fostering invaluable connections and collaborations crucial for the growth and success of these pioneering ventures. Mr. Anubhav Shrestha, the event lead of Startup Awards 2023 adds “NYEF’s business network is pivotal in the startup ecosystem, offering founders a platform for connection, collaboration, and strategic partnerships, fostering an environment for growth and success. Through our events such as the B2B events and  NYEF Startup Awards, and our collaboration with numerous like-minded organizations we are providing a platform for the founders to gain insights, learn from each other,  build invaluable connections, and  grow together which are instrumental in navigating challenges and seizing new opportunities.”
