Kathmandu, 2nd November 2025- The 536th meeting of the Board of Directors of Nepal SBI Bank Limited held on 31st October 2025 unanimously elected Mr. Venkata Vamsidhar Kuncha, Director representing State Bank of India (SBI) to the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd.

Mr. Kuncha is currently posted as Chief General Manager (International Banking) at SBI’s International Banking Group, Corporate Office, Mumbai, India. He oversees SBI’s international business spread across 29 countries. Mr. Kuncha also took the Oath of Office and Secrecy from the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Prof. Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel amidst Oath taking ceremony held today at Nepal Rastra Bank, Central Office, Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

Deputy Governors, Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timisina and Mr. Bam Bahadur Mishra, Executive Director, Mr. Guru Prasad Paudel, Acting Executive Director, Mr. Rajan Bikram Thapa and Directors, Mr. Rajendra Bhattarai, Mr. Ishwari Prasad Bhattarai & Mr. Sharan Kumar Adhikari from Nepal Rastra Bank and Bank’s Directors, Mr. Ritesh Sinha, Mr. Bharat Raj Wasti, Ms. Apsara Upreti & Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta, Managing Director & CEO, Mr. Ram Kumar Tiwari along with Dy. CEO & Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Vikas Anand, Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Panda and Company Secretary, Mr. Khageshwar Bhatt from NSBL were also present in the ceremony.
