Kathmandu, Nepal – 22nd April, 2026 – Changan Group has announced a sweeping new growth strategy that aims to put it among the world’s top ten car companies and reach RMB 600 billion in revenue by 2030. The plan, called the “1+4+4+5” framework, was unveiled at the company’s Global Strategy Launch and Global Partner Conference in Chongqing on April 21, 2026, in front of around 700 guests from across the industry.

At the heart of the strategy is one clear goal: to build a world-class automaker with strong technology developed in-house. To get there, Changan will focus on four main business areas, vehicles, components, services, and next-generation industries, while pushing forward on four key shifts: becoming smarter, greener, more global, and more connected. The company has set five targets to double by 2030, covering electric vehicle sales, overseas sales, total revenue, profit, and brand value.

Changan Chairman Zhu Huarong said the company is entering a new era full of change and opportunity, and pledged to work closely with industry partners to grow together. The strategy lays out six major leaps the company plans to make: smarter vehicles, cleaner powertrains, bigger sales scale, a stronger business ecosystem, better global management, and greater overall value as a company.

On the global stage, Changan is pushing ahead with three key plans. Its Green Plan focuses on building stronger electric vehicle technology and cutting carbon across the full life of a vehicle. The Intelligent Plan is about delivering safer and smarter driving experiences. The Vast Ocean Plan is the company’s push into world markets, moving beyond simply selling cars abroad to fully establishing its brand and operations around the globe. By March 2026, Changan sold over 100,000 vehicles overseas in a single month for the first time ever.

The company enters this next chapter from a position of strength. In 2025, Changan sold 2.913 million vehicles, up 8.5 percent from the year before, including over 1.1 million electric vehicles. It currently sells in 118 countries through more than 1,100 outlets, operates 22 overseas factories, and has a global research team of 24,000 people who have filed nearly 21,000 patents.
