Banke, October 29: Lumbini Lions, a franchise team in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), is set to organize an extensive Talent Hunt program aimed at discovering and nurturing three exceptional young cricketers for the upcoming season of the tournament.

Organized by the Banke District Cricket Association in Nepalgunj, the Talent Hunt program is scheduled to take place on October 30, Thursday at the Kohalpur Cricket Stadium. The full-day program will commence at 8 AM and continue until 5 PM, providing ample opportunity for aspiring cricketers to showcase their skills and abilities.

According to Lumbini Lions, through this carefully structured selection process, three outstanding young players will be selected, among which one player will secure a spot on the main squad, while two others will join the development team. The selected cricketers will have the opportunity to participate in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League, which begins on November 17.

Prior to this talent hunt initiative, Lumbini Lions have already completed the retention process for six key players from their previous squad for the upcoming NPL season.

Organizers believe this Talent Hunt and similar programs will provide opportunities for emerging cricket talent in Nepal and play a vital role in promoting the overall standard and competitiveness of Nepali cricket on both domestic and international stages.

The event will be attended by Lumbini Lions’ Chief Executive Officer Bhawana Ghimire, officials from the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), and other distinguished guests.
