Kathmandu, Nepal- KAIYI Nepal, in collaboration with Round Table Nepal, successfully conducted the Champadevi Hiking Trail Cleanup & Awareness Campaign on 15th November 2025. The initiative comprised company representatives, members of Round Table Nepal, and volunteers, making a total of 46 participants who joined together in a collective effort to clean up the trail and promote responsible waste management. The team collected 12 full big garbage bags of waste from the route. The campaign focused not only on removing litter from the popular hiking trail but also on spreading a crucial message to the public that cleanliness begins with individual responsibility.

Participants actively shared information with visitors along the trail about the importance of having a personal waste collection bag during activities that take place outdoors like hiking and picnics. The awareness drive focused on the fact that even if people cannot take their waste-filled bags with them, at least they should place those bags properly in a certain place which is noticeable and is taken by others easily, leaving the area clean.

During the event, huge amounts of non-degradable and scattered waste were collected, segregated and transported to be properly disposed of. The teams also identified common areas of littering and encouraged hikers to follow some better habits so that in the future there will be less pollution. The combined efforts of the team of KAIYI Nepal and the volunteers of Round Table Nepal made the campaign productive and impactful.

Speaking on the initiative, its representatives from KAIYI Nepal and Round Table Nepal expressed their gratitude for the collaboration and the positive reaction in the community to it. They stressed that it is necessary to preserve natural spaces such as Champadevi. The campaign is a sign of increasing Corporate Social Responsibility and believes it needs to contribute to the community in a way beyond providing mobility solutions.

Round Table Nepal also recognized the importance of such collaborations, as small behavioral changes among the general public such as carrying a waste bag and not littering can add up to a cleaner and healthier environment.

The successful completion of the Champadevi Cleanup & Awareness Campaign is considered an important move towards sustainable outdoor practices for the sustainable sustenance of the beauty of the natural landmarks in Kathmandu and Nepal as a whole.
