Kathmandu, Nepal – Embassy of Pakistan organized the award ceremony for the 13th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing Competition and the 9th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition 2026 in Kathmandu on Tuesday. The event was attended by Abrar H Hashmi as the chief guest.

This year’s essay competition marked the 150th birth anniversary of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Students wrote on the topic: “Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah mainstreaming the demand for Pakistan through constitutional means.”

In the essay category, Pratik Pokhrel from Viswa Niketan Secondary School secured first place. Dakshesh Ghimire from Chand Bagh School came second, while Nitin Thapa from Pranjali World School secured third position. Winners received certificates and cash prizes, while twelve additional participants were also honored.

For the speech competition, higher secondary and university students spoke on the topic: “Will AI Engulf Libraries?” Vishwakala Nepal from Reliance College won first place. Tshiring Tamang from National Law College secured second position, while Bipyum Chaulagain from St. Xavier College Maitighar finished third. Certificates and cash prizes were awarded to all participating finalists.

According to the embassy, students from more than 50 higher secondary schools and universities across Nepal participated in the competitions, which were held over the past two weeks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Hashmi praised the students for their critical thinking and highlighted the importance of understanding constitutional movements and historical leadership. He said such programs help strengthen ties and understanding between Nepal and Pakistan.

The embassy noted that the essay and speech competitions have been held annually for the past 13 and 9 years respectively and remain popular among Nepalese students nationwide.
